Tessika's Transgender Sing-Along Blog

Songs, Stories, and Surviving Out Loud

About

So you’d like to know a little bit about me?

Hi, I’m Tessika.

I’m a trans woman. I am many other things: an activist, an artist, an environmentalist, a cook, a librarian, a swordfighter, a writer, and, somewhat unexpectedly, a songwriter. For a long time, I lived quietly and carefully, keeping parts of myself buried where no one could see them. Eventually, that stopped being something I could survive.

This blog is where I share what came after. What continues to come.

You’ll find original songs, personal writing, and reflections on identity, fear, and what it means to live openly in a world that doesn’t always make that easy. Some of it is heavy. Some of it is hopeful. Most of it is me trying to understand my own life well enough to explain it to someone else.

I’m not here to speak for everyone. I’m just here to tell the truth as I’ve lived it, and to stop hiding while I do.

Also… Apologies to NPH. When I came up with the idea, I couldn’t resist the title. You’re amazing, please don’t sue.
